GRAND OPENING PARTY AT THE ALBERTINUM

Congress 2021. And since we are opening a cultural congress, there will be a contrasting cultural program with Moorish, Jewish and African influences on the opening evening in keeping with the motto #transnational.

In the inner courtyard of the Albertinum, you can expect passionate flamenco from Dresden by Sabine Jordan, who is not only considered a wildly exceptional talent in the flamenco scene. The well-known flamenco dancer studied at the Palucca Schule Dresden and learned a lot during her study visits in Granada, Seville and Jerez. Since then she has performed with many internationally known flamenco musicians, who will also accompany her musically on this evening.

But that is not all, because there is a lot of art to discover in the Albertium this evening. From Caspar David Friedrich to Gerhard Richter: Here you can discover masterpieces from the holdings of the Galerie Neue Meister and the sculpture collection from 1800 onwards from Romanticism, Impressionism, Expressionism, New Objectivity and the present day within individual and guided tours including the special exhibition "Dreams of Freedom. Romanticism in Russia and Germany" with masterpieces from Russia and Germany until midnight.
