The Dresden Symphony Orchestra is one of the leading symphony orchestras for contemporary music. The productions of this variable ensemble - musicians from almost all of Europe's major orchestras come together on a project-by-project basis for this purpose - have received numerous awards (UNESCO Special Prize "World Horizon," ECHO Klassik). Barbara Klepsch is a German politician and Saxon State Minister for Culture and Tourism since December 20, 2019. Previously, she was Saxon State Minister for Social Affairs and Consumer Protection since November 13, 2014, and before that she was Lord Mayor of Annaberg-Buchholz from 2001 to 2014.

Mariya Ivanova Gabriel is a Bulgarian politician from the GERB party and was the EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society since July 10, 2017. In the von der Leyen Commission, she became EU Commissioner for Research, Innovaton and Education, Culture and Youth on December 1, 2019.

 

 

   

After the Grand Opening Sesssion, the parallel expert forums will start at 10 a.m. in 6 event locations at the Kraftwerk Mitte. The main forum will also start at 10 a.m. on the big stage of the Staatsoperette Dresden.
