13th CultureInvest! Congress at Kraftwerk Mitte in Dresden

The Kraftwerk Mitte in Dresden, an imposing industrial monument from the 19th century, has been transformed. Dresden is happy about a unique art, culture and creative location. Excellent location, impressive architecture, innovative ideas: Kraftwerk Mitte will develop into a lively location of culture, art and creativity. The district of Wilsdruffer Vorstadt as the gateway to Dresden city center will be enriched by a magnet. In recent years, the area has established itself as a sought-after inner-city quarter in which living, work and culture inspire each other.

The building of the Kunsthalle used to be the heating center or the heat transfer station (tubular heat exchanger) for the central heating plant. The art hall and heating center have been available to the cultural and creative industries since August 2017. The event hall is of particular importance with various possible uses. The property is being refurbished with a low threshold especially for the creative industries. The energy center for the state operetta and tjg is located in the basement.
