Sustainable sponsoring is clearly the trend. Commercial enterprises are increasingly using corporate responsibility strategies to promote climate and environmental protection, social responsibility, ethics and sustainability. For companies that are committed to promoting culture, among other things, "good corporate citizenship" includes cooperative partnerships, which are, of course, never merely altruistic and are usually based on entrepreneurship. The partnerships should be authentic, long-term and consequently sustainable. What else can be done in the cultural sector to use sponsorships in an environmentally friendly way? How can a joint project be designed in such a way that it is produced sustainably? How can a balance be maintained between environmental goals, sponsorship objectives and artistic concerns? Producing culture sustainably can be exhausting and in the long run lead to a different understanding of the concept of "time is money". All the more essential therefore is a fruitful cooperation between business and culture, which in the future enables ecologically sustainable work in the cultural sector.
