In order to meet the challenges of sustainable development, there is a need for a comprehensive transformation of politics, economy and society. But how does this transformation process work? Who is involved and who should be involved? How do the processes in individual systems change our society as a whole? And what happens in the meantime? There is still
'old' and 'new' side by side and it is still not negotiated, where to go in the journey and how changes in technology and politics reinforce each other and give direction to our social development. How do we want to live in the future? Who takes responsibility and with what goals? Are there any new opportunities or are we losing social cohesion? Art and culture are part of this development, but they are also required in the reflection of these questions. We can only find answers together.

10:00 - 10:45 Uhr Impuls		Die Transformation unseres Energiesystems: Über die Rolle von Kultur The transformation of our energy system: About the role of culture Dr. Stephan Muschick, Managing Director innogy Foundation Energie und Kultur stehen in einer intensiven Wechselbeziehung zueinander. Einerseits ist das Energiesystem stets nicht nur technisch fundiert gewesen, sondern es war auch immer kulturell geprägt. Diese kulturelle Prägung wieder hat bis heute teils evolutionären, teils revolutionären kulturellen Wandlungen unterlegen. Anderseits hat die Gestalt unseres Energiesystems immer auch kulturelle Praktiken hervorgebracht und beeinflusst. Diese Wechselbeziehung will ich in meinem Vortrag nachzeichnen und – vor dem Hintergrund der technologischen Revolution, in der wir uns befinden, einen Blick in die Zukunft wagen.

Culture as a driver of transformation Folkert Uhde, Intentant of the Köthener Bachfesttage Unter der neuen Intendanz von Folkert Uhde erleben die Köthener Bachfesttage seit 2015 einen Veränderungsprozess. Damit einher geht die Beteiligung von bürgerschaftlichem Engagement an Kultur zu Weiterentwicklung der Region, Stärkung der Identität und einem veränderten Selbstverständnis der Bewohner. Durch die Neuausrichtung des Festivals und die Einbindung der regionalen Akteure in das europäische Festival wurde eine Transformation in Gang gesetzt, die Stadtentwicklungsprozesse vorantreibt.
