When will the CultureInvest! Congress DIGITAL take place?

The digital congress will take place from November 26 to 27, 2020.

Where is the CultureInvest! Congress DIGITAL taking place?

In cooperation with the digital event platform Let's Get Digital we transformed the CultureInvest! Congress into the digital world. Although the discussions of the main forums will take place analogously in the Nikolaisaal without an audience, they will be broadcasted live into the "lobby" of our innovative congress platform. Furthermore, all lectures of the expert forums will take place in digital rooms. You don't have to do without the unique networking opportunities either, because the platform enables you to get into conversation with all participants.

How do I get access to the CultureInvest! Congress DIGITAL?

1. book your ticket for the digital CultureInvest! Congress through our partner Universe

2. you will receive a booking confirmation from Universe and the invoice in the second mail.

3. as soon as our new app is up and running, you will receive the access data for the app and the digital platform.

4. download the app, log in with the access data, create your own profile, compile your congress program and get in touch with other participants.

5. check-in to the virtual congress platform on November 26 from 8 a.m. and participate digitally in the CultureInvest! Congress! The virtual congress platform synchronizes with the app and takes care of all contacts as well as your personal program.

What is included in the ticket for the digital congress?

Access to the congress app: Put together your own congress program and network with other congress participants in advance. The app synchronizes with our virtual congress platform-

Access to the virtual congress platform from 26 November 2020, accreditation from 8 a.m. This includes:

  • Access to the livestream of the opening session, main forums and final discussion (embedded in the virtual platform)
  • Access to all parallel live lectures of the expert forum speakers in digital rooms
  • Access to the award ceremony of the European Cultural Brand Awards live from the Nikolaisaal in Potsdam (embedded in the virtual platform)
  • Download possibility of the lectures

I have already purchased a ticket for the analogue CultureInvest! Congress. Can I also participate in the CultureInvest! Congress DIGITAL?

Yes, you will receive an e-mail from us with all your options.

Can I also participate in the congress at the Nikolaisaal Potsdam?

No, unfortunately not. Due to the pandemic-related regulations of the State of Brandenburg, events with an audience are not permitted.


Will the entire congress program be available digitally?

Yes, with the exception of the Opening Party and the workshops.

We have decided to do without both formats, as it is difficult to implement them digitally.

In addition, there may be occasional changes to the congress program at short notice. You will find all information about this as an update in our new app.

Do the main forums take place exclusively digitally?

Yes and no. We wouldn't want to do without the lively and personal exchange within the main forum. That's why we decided to bring the discussants together in person in the Nikolaisaal and, due to the pandemic situation, unfortunately without an audience. This discussion is streamed live in the "lobby" of our virtual congress platform. Participants can join the discussion via the integrated chat function.

Do the specialist forums take place exclusively in digital rooms?

Yes, due to the limited travel possibilities of many speakers*, we have decided to hold the lectures in digital rooms. The speakers give their presentations live from their offices and the participants can enter these digital rooms, communicate with each other and ask questions.

Can I choose freely between the parallel lectures of the expert forums?

Yes, you can go to another digital room or stay in the lobby at any time.

Does the digital concept mean I have to do without networking?

No. Our virtual congress platform offers the complete event experience from a distance: Meet other participants and speakers easily in the lobby, during meetings and in one-on-one conversations via chat or video chat! Get to know our partners and sponsors who present themselves on the digital exhibition areas!

Can I call up the presentations afterwards?

No, the lectures are live and cannot be viewed by our participants afterwards.

If the speaker has given us permission, the presentations are available to our participants on a password-protected page.

Will presentations be translated simultaneously from German <-> English?
Contrary to plan, we unfortunately have to forego simultaneous translation for budget reasons.
All lectures in English are marked accordingly in the program overview, the remaining lectures will be held in German. Only the cultural brand gala will be interpreted simultaneously.

Can I still use the congress app?

We are currently working on a new app that connects and synchronizes with our virtual congress platform. It will make it possible to put together an individualized congress program and to contact other participants in advance.

If you purchase a ticket for the digital Congress, you will receive further information on the new app as soon as it has been finalized.

Can I still attend the “Night of Cultural Brands”?

Yes, but only digitally. Due to the pandemic developments, the “Night of Cultural Brands” unfortunately has to take place without an audience. Instead, the entire award ceremony will be broadcast live from the Nikolaisaal on YouTube and on our congress platform.

What technical equipment do I need to participate in the CultureInvest! Congress DIGITAL?

All you need is a computer with a stable internet access. In order to conduct personal conversations with other participants/speakers or company representatives, we recommend a good webcam and a good microphone, e.g. headphones with integrated microphone or a headset (optional). Alternatively, you can as well use the chat function without picture and sound in the lobby and in the digital rooms.
